Hike in the Wild
Welcome to SeaMonkey Expeditions, where we invite you to embark on a thrilling hike in the wild, as we venture into Jordan’s largest nature reserve, teeming with wildlife and natural wonders. Departing from Amman at 4 am, our journey takes us to an enchanting wilderness. Witness the mesmerizing diversity of birds, large insects, and reptiles as we explore this rugged wilderness. A scenic 3-hour car ride brings us to the reserve’s entrance, where a shuttle awaits to transport us to the campsite.
After breakfast at the campsite, we begin our hike at 8 am, immersing ourselves in the stunning Jordanian wilderness. Along the way, we’ll be on the lookout for rock hyrax and Nubian ibex. Marvel at the topography that showcases Jordan’s unique geological location between Europe, Asia, and Africa. Keep an eye on the sky for soaring raptors during the hike. We conclude our expedition at around 2 pm, where a shuttle will take us back to the entrance for a short 15-minute ride to meet our driver and head back to Amman, with an expected arrival at 5:30 pm.
ITINERARY
- 4:00 am Depart from Amman
- 7:00 am Arrival at the reserve’s entrance
- 7:30 am Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the campsite
- 8:00 am Commence the hike into the Jordanian wilderness
- 1:00 pm Conclude the hike
- 1:15 pm Shuttle picks you up from a village towards the end of your hike and takes you back to the campsite
- 1:30 pm Enjoy a lunch at the campsite
- 2:00 pm Short 15-minute ride back to meet the driver
- 5:30 pm Expected arrival back in Amman
